Alexa Bashing

Jason Calcanis, of weblogs/netscape.com fame, is proposing an experiment to see if he, along with readers who fall for the trick, can game the Alexa system of ranking websites.
Seems like a waste of time to me. Alexa definitely has major problems ranking sites below the top 1000 or so. Alexa’s blog even discusses the issue of measuring traffic on the Long…Long… Tail in some depth.
But it sure will drive some juice to calcanis.com which will be good for Calcanis. A little self promotion never hurt.
